How to get anything done

Each year, when I look back on what I have accomplished, I tend to become my own worst enemy. By reducing the value of what I did. By minimising the work and effort my projects took. By playing small. Since I know this tendency well (it hits me once every so often), I know how to fight it. I usually write down a DONE LIST of all the things I have accomplished - even the little ones like writing 52 blog posts each year (see how I added the word 'little' to that accomplishment?! On simplifying life into black and white

I was glad when 2018 was over. I'd had quite a few curve balls thrown at me and a lot of ups and downs, which left me tired and reeling. Now that we reach the end of 2019, I am not sure I had a more balanced or positive year... And that got me thinking. About how we humans like to categorise things into black and white, good or bad, happy or sad. And it made me think about F. Funny that. So today I thought I'd share some past posts with you just in case you find yourself in a certain situation. Enjoy! You feel stu [...]

We are so busy with meetings, calls, demanding bosses that when we come home we have used up many of our energy points. But then the other life starts: there are kids to pick up from or drive to places, groceries to buy, meals to cook, doctors to see, gardens to mow, partners and family to please, activities to attend... There is hardly any time left to breathe, let along energy to do any [...]

Take the power to make your life happy.

This life is yours. Take the power to choose what you want to do and do it well. Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly. Take the power to walk in the forest and be a part of nature. Take the power to control your own life. No one else can do it for you. Take the power to make your life happy. -- Susan Polis Schutz   Flashback to winter 10 years ago. 10 o'clock in the morning. Loïc, my 2 and half year old son and I are having tea and a cookie. Baby Rohan is asleep [...]
