Need a quick exercise to spark creativity?
Get people to pair up in twos.
One person starts telling a journey where he/she leaves your office and travels to a place on the other side of the world:
“I leave the office, go to the parking, get my car and drive to the airport.”
The other person throws in some objects/things/people from time to time (a pink umbrella, a crying old lady, Johnny Depp, an elastic hairband…).
The storyteller needs to think on his feet to incorporate the items into his narrative.
The crazier the better.
After a while, switch sides (and take revenge!).
This exercise will warm people up, get them to laugh, accept ridicule and failure.
This shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes.
