To be creative you have to be an explorer, not a conqueror

The Explorer The Conqueror
You choose to travel to exotic places You get sent to strategic exotic places
You have an open mind You want to subject others to your mind
You share You take
You learn You teach
You discover You take over
You are welcome You are feared
You’re your own boss You have a boss
You give and you loose, you fail often You acquire and possess
You celebrate You defeat
You ask and give freely You use force
You take chances, jump in and take risks You control (everything)
You’re faithful and loyal You seduce and betray
You distribute You collect
You’re an adventurer and pioneer You’re a defeater and winner
You campaign You attack and defend
You have a crew You have supporters
You guide and innovate You judge and oversee
You’re an investigative voyager You’re a conquering pundit
You wander and wonder You command and direct
You want a solution You want a revolution

Explorers are Solutionaries. Conquerors are Revolutionaries.

Leaders that focus on incremental progress – being “solutionary” rather than revolutionary – are the ones that truly push ideas to full fruition.  Such behavior takes a tremendous amount of discipline. But with conviction and clearly defined goals, creative energy can be channeled to refine a good idea enough to make a great impact. (source)

Which do you want to be?

    Hey MsKaye,
Glad you prefer to be an explorer rather than a conqueror. It means you are creative and live by it! Good for you.
