Creative questions – 2

Below picture was taken while on a retreat in Asheville, North Carolina.

A retreat is a wonderful experience because it allows you to take a break from your busy day to day life.
Through activities and exercises thoughts are triggered.
Time for reflection is created allowing you to dig deeper into your true self.
In talks with the coach and other participants you can get clarity on issues that are disconcerting to you.

Today I want to trigger some thoughts or questions.

List 57 things you like about _______________________.

Fill the blank with whatever subject you think needs some positive prodding:

  • your partner
  • yourself
  • your job
  • your parents
  • your house
  • your …This is a creative exercise because we usually find it easier to find fault and negativity about things. Here I am asking you to find only good things. Tiny or big.

Why 57 you ask? It is quite a lot. But it’s a creative exercise to wreck your brain for as many solutions, possibilities or nice things as possible.

I call it the Brain Drain (and I am NOT talking out this kind): you empty your brain of all the clutter (= crap ideas) to find the gems at the bottom.

Listing 100 would even be better :-) So off you go!
